A fun, holiday themed 5k fun run where we Hustle to Fight Hunger!
Ugly Sweaters. Holiday Cheer. Fighting Childhood Hunger.
The Hungry Hustle isn’t just a fun run — it’s a movement! Every step you take helps us fight childhood hunger and bring hope to kids right here in our community.
Lace up your running shoes, throw on your ugliest Christmas sweater, and join us on the Virgin River Trail as we run, laugh, and hustle for a cause that truly matters.
This year we’re at a new venue — the Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park — and we’re ready to make it our best event yet.
Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just here to cheer, your support fuels our mission: making sure no child goes hungry.
Each kilometer along the trail is packed with holiday fun — tinsel, Christmas trees, candy canes, snowball tosses, and yes… even a selfie with the REAL Santa!
So grab your sweater (the uglier the better), gather your friends and family, and get ready for holiday joy, laughter, and the best part — helping kids in need.
Course Note: For those that do not desire to “compete” or that don’t want to run the entire 3 miles, our out and back course makes it easy to turn around whenever you’re ready to be done. Individuals who do not complete the full 5k course are not eligible for prizes.
Aid Station Information: Water and Gatorade will be available at the Start-line, mile 0.5, mile 1.5, mile 2.5 and the Finish.
| Category | Price | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Individual 5k | $35.00 | Entry for 1 Person to the 5k. Your entry provides 100+ meals to hungry kids. |
| Family 5k | $105.00 | Entry for up to 6 Family Members to the 5k. Your registration provides 300+ meals to hungry kids. |
We keep our prices low because a little goes a long way when we fight childhood hunger together. Together, this event will raise more than 50,000 meals for children in need! Your participation makes a HUGE impact!
Registration Includes:
Not a runner? No problem! Swing by our food drive drop-off at Sullivan Park anytime from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Every can of food brings us one step closer to ending childhood hunger.
Starting at 9:00 AM, head to the fishing pond gazebo at the south end of Sullivan Park to grab your packet & goodie bag, complete with an official Tan’s Treats t-shirt.
Don’t forget to show off your holiday gear — we’ll be watching for contenders for the Ugliest Sweater Awards!
We order a specific number of shirts based on the number of registrants. This means that the earlier your register, the better your chances of getting your preferred size. If you register late, you might not be able to get your size or a shirt at all. We may have extra shirts, but this is not guaranteed and it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There is adequate parking available at the park, conveniently located near the gazebo and starting line.
Come early to settle in, grab your packet, and enjoy the pre-race festivities with ease!
After you cross the finish line, stick around for:
Don’t just run for fun — run with purpose. Sign up today, invite your friends, and let’s hustle together to fight childhood hunger this holiday season!

Event Setup: Volunteers assisting with event setup will help prepare the park, race course and gazebo area for race day. Duties may include arranging tables and chairs, setting up tents or shade canopies, organizing the registration area, posting directional signage, and preparing water stations. This team ensures that everything is ready and welcoming before participants arrive.
Registration Table: Volunteers at the registration table will greet participants, check them in, distribute race bibs, t-shirts and answer basic event questions. A friendly attitude and attention to detail are important, as this is often the first interaction participants have on event day. Registration volunteers also assist with day-of sign-ups as needed.
General Event Support: General support volunteers will provide assistance throughout the event wherever needed. This may include cheering on runners along the course, directing participants to the correct locations, restocking water or snacks, helping at aid stations and supporting families and spectators. Flexibility is key in this role, as assignments may vary depending on event needs.
Event Clean Up: Volunteers assisting with clean up will help break down tables, chairs, tents, and signage after the event concludes. They will also collect trash, recycling, and any leftover supplies to ensure the park is left clean and orderly. This team plays an essential role in wrapping up the event smoothly and leaving a positive impression on the community.
